walking back to the ranch when we spotted a big red stag and behind it was a
big whitetail buck. Patiently Eddie waited at when the buck turned broadside

when we saw Chris pushing Eddie’s wheel chair across the field with his thumb

WOW – what a deer that carried 25 points on its head. Back at the ranch Dave

<div>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">50 years ago (1967) Bill Hilts Sr. and Hans Paller created the NEW YORK STATE OUTDOOR WRITERS ASSN.(NYSOWA) and this year 2017 plans were made for </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">a 50th anniversary conference we decided to hold it where it all began -LAKE GEORGE.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">As one of a number of members chosen to plan and initiate the 4 day conference Dan Ladd and I and a number of other had various things to do. One of mine was to take care of the what was needed for the Game Dinner. I was to get the making for the dinner. Our choices were Striper fish and venison. The stripper was supply by ED Skorupski and supporting member Dave Vanderzee of Easton View Outfitters the venison. I volunteer to do the deer hunting for a doe hunted in his preserve. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">On the first day of my hunt I saw plenty of deer but the doe must have known I was coming and did not show. What did show was several hogs and Dave gave me the OK to take one of them. Late that afternoon a saw the rear end of one heading through the brush and decided to follow/track it. At about 4 pm the caretaker of the preserve called and said he was leaving. If I stayed and did shoot a boar I would not be able to get it out of the woods on my own. So I decided to call it a day and head up into the wooded hills. I don't think I went 5 yards when I heard a grunt behind me and when I turned there was a BIG pig. SHE WAS HUGE. I did scope her but knew I would never get her down and onto my truck; so i turned and headed out - and so did she. I yelled, waved my hat and even threw a stone at her but she kept coming. fortunately she did not run but she stayed right behind me. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">That evening I called Dave and told him about my encounter and he said she PROBABLY would not hurt me; but I did not like that word "probably." And on the next day before sun up I was back to find Miss Piggy. Put as I entered the preserve one of the worker said "watch the elk; they have begun their rut. When I got inside I saw several of them and they watched every move I made. I decided to go around them by going along the edge of the swamp and out of their sight. It worked and when there was hill between us I was able to go out into the field. It was time for me to look for miss piggy. I didn't have to wait long because she stepped out of the tall grass and started not running but walking right for me. And it was then that my Ruger American .308 made sure that there would be plenty of pork for the game dinner. Her estimated weight was "at least 550 pounds."</span></div>

AGAIN</span></div>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 115%;">When I read
about the new GAMO SWARM MAXXIM .177 and .22 caliber break barrel pellet air
rifle that allow the shooter to no longer have to hand load each pellet after
every shot I was very interested. Now I have tested many of the GAMO air guns
but this one really excited me. This one
allows you load 10 pellets into a circular clip and click it into the barrel.
When you shoot all you have to do is cock the barrel and the pellet is already
there ready for firing. Also on this clip it displays the numbers one through
ten that tells you how many shots were taken/left.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 115%;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 115%;">As an avid small
game hunter I was quite impressed with not only the 10 shot clip but some of
the other added features. These include a Whisper noise reduction system, shock
wave absorber recoil pad, a newly added gas piston that requires only 30 pounds
to cock and a 2 stage trigger action for more accuracy. Also included is a special
3-9x40mm airgun scope. As for speed which
is also important, especially for those of us that want to hunt (small game)
with an airgun – this one is very fast. The SWARM’s
speed (feet per second) using the lead-free light ammo the .177 caliber
leaves the barrel at 1300 feet per second
and 975 feet per second for the .22 caliber. Several minutes after
reading about the Swarm I was placing my order for the .22 caliber model.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Just a few
days later it was delivered, on opening day of the NYS small game season, and I
immediately scoped it and headed for my friend’s house that had a range behind
his house. It took just 3 shots to sight in and on the fourth shot my friend
aimed at and shattered one of the push-pins holding the target. A quick thank
you and I headed for the squirrel woods.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The rules are
very simple. NYSDEC‘s definition of an air gun is “A firearm that uses spring

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 20.0pt; line-height: 115%;">THE HUNT<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 115%;">It
did not take long when a squirrel appeared making its way towards me. It was a
15 yard shot and I was right on target. And before I could get up to retrieve
the squirrel another two others were coming. Now normally I would have to open
the barrel, take out a pellet from the container and put it into the chamber.
But with the rotary style magazine I was ready when one came into range. And 20
minutes later I added another; and it all happened in less than an hour. I am
very impressed with the SWARM MSXXIUM both in its accuracy and especially the
quickness of chambering another pellet. If you have or know of a young
shooter/hunter this airgun is a good choice. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif; font-size: 20pt; line-height: 115%;">NOTE:

rabbit stew.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-size: large;">On a sunny afternoon my daughter Sheila Dunston, her husband Matt and their two
children – Sammy 6, Sydney 4 and my wife and I went fishing on Saratoga Lake.
It was our “first” fishing trip with the kids. The lake was quite busy when we
launched at South Shore Marina and headed for Stony Point. However before
fishing both Sammy and Sydney had to sit on my lap and help me drive the boat
and for about 20 minutes all I heard was go faster PAPA Eddie.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

finally reached Stony Point I surprised them both with their own Tangle Free
push button rod and reel. This rod has no eyelets as the line goes up inside of
the hollow 34 inch rod. It is an ideal rod (no tangles) for kids. It took all
of about 5 minutes for them to figure it out. Baited with a 4.25 inch
stik-o-worm Matt helps Sammy and Sheila helped Sydney. I don’t think Sammy made
more than a dozen cast when he said he had a “fishy” on. We all thought it was weeds
but Sammy said “no – it is a fishy that wiggles.” He was right and wet-eyed
PAPA Eddie was VERY HAPPY taking off his grandson’s fist fish; a smallmouth.
Lots of high fives, smiles and photo taking followed. <o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

happy for her brother but you could see she was a little sad about her not
catching one. This is when my daughter took over and less than a half hour
later Sydney was reeling in her own largemouth bass. Years ago when Sheila was
12 she was my partner in a local bass tournament which we won; guess she hadn’t
forgot how to fish. There was a lot of excitement and then came: “Let’s go fast PAPA Eddie;” and then we
headed for South Shore. For me it was absolutely the very best day of fishing I
have ever had; and I am sure it won’t be the last.<o:p></o:p></span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">When I
helped Dave Vanderzee, owner of the Easton View Outfitters ranch in Rensselaer
County make a dream hunt come true for a young hunter with severe health
problems this past October I saw several Texas Dahl Rams roaming around the
woods and I knew at some time I would be hunting them. That sometime was just
last week. Unfortunately the morning that I arrived at the ranch it was a very
cold 7 degrees and the ground was covered with a crusty 10 plus inches of snow.
As someone who likes to sneak and peek hunt the 2 1/2 mile perimeter of the
preserve, I knew the moving through the crunchy snow was not going to be
quiet. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">When I
entered the preserve I walked over a small rise toward the swamp I saw movement
across the pond on the edge or the swamp. And sure enough it was a group of
Rams just coming out into the field. I lay down in the snow and watched them
through my scope as they headed for higher ground. I waited until they were
behind a hedge row and started up toward them and I knew they could hear me
coming. When I finally reached the hedgerow I could see all 12 of them in a
tight group looking right at me. They were about 150 yards away slowly moving
up toward the woods. I actually could have shot but they were literally in a
group so tight; and too close together for me to shoot.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">With the
hedgerow as cover I was able to get within 150 yards but they still were in
that tight group. It was then that I decided to go down and come at them from a
different angle. To do this required crawling through the snow to stay out of
sight; “That was fun.” I know it took me at least an hour and a half to get to
the thick brush. And when I did get there I could see them a long way off but
headed my way. This particular hedgerow was so thick I could hardly move much
less raise my rifle. If I was going to get any shot here I would need to clean
out where I could kneel and make sniper’s hole to shoot from. It was a lot of
breaking and bending of branches and twigs but finally I was able to kneel and
shoulder the rifle.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">By now they
were closer but still in that tight group. After kneeling for some time I made
a slight movement and they saw it. Now looking through the scope I put the
crosshair on what I believe was the leader but he was leaning right against
another ram; I still could not shoot safely. Slowly they were walking away and
suddenly I saw daylight between “my” ram and the one he had been leaning on. It
was now or never. I had one shot and when I squeezed the trigger I had my Texas
Dahl ram. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">As I walked
back down to the barn the ranch hand Doug Everard greeted me and said “saw you
sneaking around up there and heard the shot and from the smile on your face I
assume you got it; I’ll I get the Kubota RTV and we will go get him.” The ram
tipped the scales at 138 pounds and his horns measured 25 and 26 inches long
and had 11 and 11 1/2 bases. It was absolutely a great and memorable hunt. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> WHAT DOES A PRESERVE HUNT OFFER<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">In addition
to the Wounded Warrior hunts that I had the privilege to witness at Easton View
and more recently a young man with severe disabilities take his first whitetail
it offers an excellent opportunity for a parent to take and teach their first
time young hunter techniques and hunter safety. And one that I believe is very
important is that a preserve hunt offers those with limited incomes and
opportunity to experience the excitement of the hunt that they otherwise could
not afford. <o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Now I have
also been told that preserve hunting is too easy. Let me just tell you about
one of these “easy” hunts.<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> Last year on a 90 degree day in July I entered
the Easton View preserve at sunup in search of a boar Berkshire pig. I believe
on that day I covered every bit of that preserve that included walking through
a muddy swamp in which a fell twice, hunted to the top of the preserve twice
and did not see a pig until 6 p.m. that afternoon. I was in the upper field
catching my breath and quenching my thirst when I saw 4 pigs come out of the
heavy brush headed for the swamp. I made my way through the swamp and finally
at 7 p.m. I finally clicked off my safety ending the HUNT. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

two near misses during the archery and northern zone rifle, Dan Penny of Ballston

Michael graciously allowed Dan access to one of his most sacred locations.
After 2 does and an hour and 15 minute wait, Dan spied a heavy horned 9 pointer
approaching his stand location exactly from where he was told to be
watching. Dan sealed the deal with a 100
yard shot from his Browning .308. The buck, which was following the trail of
the does, scored 142 inches and weighed in at 158 pounds. Previous trail camera
pictures of this buck had him well over the 220 pound mark before the start of
the rut. This is the best deer to date for the 58 year old recently retired New
York State Police colonel. Quite a nice retirement gift for a close friend! </b><o:p></o:p></span></div>

a day of hunting in the Booneville area when Mr. Big Buck who James thinks was
chasing a doe crossed in front of his truck that was traveling at about 40 mph

to keep the buck and tagged it and dressed it out. He knew that this 15 pointer

<span style="font-size: 16.0pt; line-height: 115%;">My good
friend and neighbor Dave Rooney, Saratoga, is another 70 year old deer hunter
who has taken a big buck this season in the hills of Saratoga County. He spent
many days scouting before he located signs of a group of deer in a swampy area
of tall pines, hemlocks and spruce. Once the season started he spent sunup to
sundown sitting patiently in this area. It was definitely an area where the
bucks were rutting. When the snow came he was able to really focus on where the
deer were traveling. It was about 3:30 p.m. looked over his shoulder and went
eye to eye with a buck no more than 15 feet behind him. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

the buck bolted and at about 30 yards his Remington 750 35 Whelan connected and the deer disappeared
in the small beeches. Thinking he had missed he followed the tracks and 75
yards from when he had shot lay his trophy buck. “ Needless to say this this 71
year old hunter was elated with his success.” But the hunt wasn’t over yet. He
was a half mile from his ATV; and was hoping he could get it up to his fallen
buck. Fortunately he did and only had a 150 yard drag. Dave’s buck carried a 10
point rack with a 19 inch spread and tipped the scales at 180 pounds. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
Late October, I had
been bowhunting an active scrape line in the Southern zone. I had been in a
tree twice with my climber in an attempt to see that buck and scout the area
for deer activity. It had been a few years since I last hunted here, but I knew
the property well. The first morning I saw three deer out of range travelling
through just after dawn heading towards bedding ground. The second morning
nothing and no evening activity either. I gave it a rest. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I had a week’s vacation planned to go up north in the
Adirondacks and hunt during the rifle season with family. Upon my return, my
rifle tag unfilled, I went back to my bow and set up on that same southern zone
scrape line which was still active. I made a plan for a morning hunt. It was a
Sunday. My last day off before returning back to work. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
This time I climbed a tree closer to where I had seen the
three deer cross in the weeks prior. Twenty yards off the scrape line and a
hundred yards from pine bedding areas. That morning with my arrow nocked and
ready, dawn was about to break. I peered down from my stand, checked for open
shooting lanes, and slowly ranged my surroundings, a twenty yard circle. I only
had a few hours to spare that day to hunt. I settled in and waited. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
It was a quiet and frosty morning. The sky clear and sunrise
came rising low on the horizon. I was facing east and I forgot to wear a billed
cap under my fleece hat. I cursed myself for not thinking of it. A stand of
tall hemlocks in the woods helped screen the early sun. As the temps rose above
the freezing mark, I saw White breasted Nuthatches, Brown Creepers, Downy
Woodpeckers and a mouse. No deer. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I had forgotten my phone, so I didn’t know the time. There
was no deer activity. No coyotes or turkey. I thought it might be nearing 0930.
I wanted to be done by 1000. I was
getting hungry and began thinking about that first morning cup of coffee. I was
sure the deer would have been through by now to bed, so I looked around, coast
was clear, no deer. I lowered my bow to the ground and started climbing down
quietly. I said to myself, I’ll hunt as I walk out. <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
About halfway down the tree, something, whether noise or
movement had me look to my left and I saw a buck 40- 50 yards out slowly
trotting by coming from the pines. A nice buck! I quickly anchored my seat into
the tree, hoisted up my bow, nocked an arrow, turned putting my back to the
tree, and faced the buck that hadn’t broke stride and continued to trot away. I
cupped my hand to my mouth and gave the best low grunts I knew how to make in
order to entice this fella back! Nothing... no reaction! I had my commercial
grunt call on doe estrus and I bleated twice. Nothing..! He kept moving
uninterested and had even passed through downwind of me. I was only eight feet
off the ground when I stopped climbing. He continued and crossed the stream. He
travelled up a slope covered in honeysuckle thickets and stopped looking out
ahead of him in his original direction of travel. I could only make out his
silhouette...100+ yards. I grunted again! Nothing….I quickly hung my bow on my
left arm, grabbed my homemade rattle bag from my cargo pocket, and gave four
aggressive rattles with the bag. I kept
rattling and rattling. Finally, on the fifth or so rattle he turned his head
back, listened, and did a roll away 180 degrees and started trotting back
towards me on the path in <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
which he came. He closed that distance by half and I shoved
the rattle bag back into my cargo pocket. I grasped my bow again with my left
hand. He came in about fifty yards from
me slowing and looking for the fight. I tapped the rattlebag in my cargo pocket
a couple of times to give him a signal to come my way. He didn’t take the
scrape line trail on my left instead he travelled almost the same line in which
he came, but the lasts taps worked and he angled my way. I slowly repositioned
to the right as he moved closer and when his head passed by two big offset
trees, I used it as a blind and drew back. I followed him bow fully drawn and
gave a “baahhh” by mouth when I felt comfortable with the range. He stopped. I
saw my lane,” broadside chest, release, good shot, chest!’ went through my
head. He ran about seventy 75 yards and
went down. He broke off the arrow while running, double lunged with an exit
wound. I had bagged a beautiful 8 point pre-rut buck. 158# <o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
The hunt was memorable. I threw everything I knew at him in
less than a minute and got him to turn back. I just kept thinking and doing. I
would have been just as charged up if it was a spike. I got lucky on the mature
buck it turned out to be. I thank the landowner for their generosity and the
opportunity for this hunt. <o:p></o:p></div>

LaBarron, Saratoga when he won the bidding on an African big game hunt with the
Kuvhima (Run and Hunt) Outfitters. And what a hunt(s) he had. He arrived on
July 1 and headed for the Free State Province. Here he took all 4 species
of Springboks to complete the Grand
Slam. He took the Springboks and Blesbuck with a .223 Remington at around 300
yards and a Black Wildebeest at 275 yards with a 30-06.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

he shot a Nyala on a ledge 200 yards up a mountain with a .30-06 and watched it
go down. But when they climbed up the mountain – no Nyala. On the third day they spotted an Eland which
Steve shot with a .30-06. They estimated the Eland’s weight to be 2600 pounds. On
the last day just before dark they spotted the Nyala again but no luck. Then on
August 20 th Steve got and email from the PH (professional Hunter) saying they
finally caught up with the Nyala and put him down and that they would be
shipping the head and cape to him. Steve told me that all his trophies made the
Safari Club International Record Book. I am willing to bet that Steve will be
bidding on this hunt at next year’s 4H Shooting Sports Banquet again. <o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 16pt; line-height: 24.5333px;">At noon on Thursday October 12 Dave and I met the Jones family. Mikey was eager and was ready to go but two things had to be done; one was to put on their Red Head outfits and the other was for them to check the sights on their guns. Dave thought that the best gun for Mikey would be a .243 and he handed it to him at the range and pointed to the <nobr style="font-size: inherit;"><a class="pxInta" href="http://noonanpics.blogspot.com/#" id="PXLINK_3_0_2" style="background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: transparent !important; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial; border-bottom-color: rgb(28, 125, 255) !important; border-bottom-style: solid !important; border-image: initial !important; border-left-color: initial !important; border-left-style: initial !important; border-right-color: initial !important; border-right-style: initial !important; border-top-color: initial !important; border-top-style: initial !important; border-width: 0px 0px 1px !important; color: rgb(28, 125, 255) !important; display: inline !important; font-size: inherit !important; padding-bottom: 1px !important;">target</a></nobr> out about 100 yards out. The second gift was a blanket with painted deer on it.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 16pt; line-height: 24.5333px;">The Jones family then got into a four seat KUBOTA RTV and I followed with the other one. For the first hour we rode around the ranch’s perimeter and saw elk, sika, fallow and whitetail deer, Texas Dall and also a glimpse at a rare Piebald deer. We then climbed into an elevated box blind overlooking a large field. That afternoon we saw a lot of animals that included an awesome 21 point whitetail that was not to be shot. But that afternoon there was no shooting.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

He laughed but I personally was worried. I WANTED THIS YOUNG MAN TO GET A DEER.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 16pt; line-height: 24.5333px;">The next morning started very slowly sitting in the blind with only a few sightings of out of range whitetails. Doug, one of the ranch hands, volunteered to put on a few deer drives and although he did move deer but none came within range. “Are we going to get a deer Ed?” Mickey said with tears in his eyes. I had to get this great loveable kid a deer!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background-color: white; color: #555544; font-family: tahoma, "Trebuchet MS", lucida, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">

<span style="font-size: 16pt; line-height: 24.5333px;">Time to do some riding and we were back in the Kubota and started again around the perimeter but all we saw were elk and Texas Dalls. We were just about to enter the swamp when I saw movement in the high brush and it was a deer. I got Mikey ready and when it came out it was a big doe. “No horns” Mikey said. But when I saw it was a Piebald I explained to Mikey that this would be quite a trophy. It was a 162 yard shot and it dropped immediately. I think I was crying before Mikey this time – especially when I saw that big smile. And now it was lunch time and I was relieved now that the pressure was off.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 16pt; line-height: 24.5333px;">After a leisurely lunch we all climbed in the Kubota to see if we could get dad a deer or one of the Texas Dall. We made a trip around the preserve and as we were coming down through a field I notice deer with just their heads sticking out of the heavy brush; and they both had antlers. Sneaking into position dad turned to Mikey and said: “I have shot plenty of deer Mikey; you take him.” His son was reluctant but when I told him it was a special 8 pointer he changed his mind. Another one shot, this time at 170 yards Mikey put him down and we all were excited. What was special about this deer? It was a Piebald buck. I wonder how many hunters have taken both a Piebald doe and a buck ON THE SAME DAY. Mikey you are now in a very special hunting group.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-size: 16pt; line-height: 24.5333px;">There were a lot of wet eyes that afternoon and I was ONE VERY HAPPY GUIDE. I would like to thank the Jones family for letting me hunt with them and their VERY SPECIAL SON. THIS WAS MY BEST DEER HUNT EVER- AND I NEVER FIRED A SHOT!<o:p></o:p></span></div>
